Trent Alexander-Arnold has made history as the first defender to provide 60+ assists in the Premier League.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool’s attacking right-back, became the first defender in Premier League history to make more than 60 assists and became the defender with the most assists of all time after coming on as a substitute and making 2 assists to help the team draw 3-3 at Newcastle. 

Trent’s precise passing has seen him provide 61 Premier League assists at the age of just 25, a record never before achieved by a defender.

Sadio Mané has been the biggest beneficiary of Alexander-Arnold’s creativity, with the Senegalese forward scoring 11 goals from Alexander-Arnold assists. Salah is next with 10, while Virgil van Dijk (7) has been a real threat from set-pieces given Alexander-Arnold’s wicked delivery.
